From Traditional Tanzanian Drumming to being next to Lionesses and their Cubs!
What an experience! Justin has shown me everything and more about Arusha and Tarangire National Park. I have been volunteering with the team for 4 weeks here in Arusha and Justin really is the font of all knowledge, if you need something or want to see something just ask Justin! He will definitely know where to go! I really wanted to see some traditional Tanzanian drumming and dancing whilst here in Arusha and Justin said, say no more. One of his close friends is in an incredible ensemble to performs traditional Tanzanian music and dancing and we were able to go and see the ensemble at their regular practice. It was breath-taking! I also wanted to see elephants during my time here and we saw ELEPHANTS and so much more during our day trip to Tarangire National Park. We saw a pack of lionesses with there cubs, giraffes (of course we are in Tanzania), flamingos, etc! We saw a baby elephant calf that was only a few days old and the day was truly made with Martin's driving and Justin's incredible knowledge of all things animals and birds throughout the safari! An unforgettable experience volunteering in Arusha
Volunteering in Arusha was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. From the very first moment, Justin, Mama, and everyone I met made me feel right at home. Their warmth and hospitality were truly something special. Justin put so much effort into organizing activities for us volunteers, and each one was a unique and unforgettable experience. The accommodation was cozy and well-equipped, perfect for feeling at ease. And the African food... it was one of the things I loved most! It allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local culture, savoring traditional dishes and discovering new flavors. Mama’s handmade products are extraordinary: each piece is crafted with care and passion, and they are truly unique. One of the most impactful lessons I learned was the concept of "pole pole" – taking the right amount of time for everything. I gained so much, both personally and culturally, and these lessons will stay in my heart forever. Thank you to everyone who made this experience so special. Woven Experience: A Experience Worth Recommending
My experience at Woven Connect was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was home. The house was fully equipped with everything I needed, including a comfortable bed, hot shower, clean bathroom, laundry facilities, and very delicious home-cooked meals. Justin went above and beyond to ensure that I never had a dull moment. He shared captivating stories about the local wildlife and attractuons, and his tips for activities in the area were invaluable. Every activity we did was a blast, and Justin's recommendations were spot on. The prices were extremely fair, offering great value for the experiences provided. My absolute highlights were the safari in Tarangire National Park and visiting the waterfalls on Mount Kilimanjaro, followed by a coffee experience. Justin provided insightful information about each location, and the scenic drives themselves were an experience to behold, with beautiful views and stunning landscapes. My dream come true
Mon rêve d'enfant d'aller faire un safari en Tanzanie a été réalisé avec brio, générosité et grand professionnalisme par Woven Expérience. Ces deux passionnées, Justin et Martin, m'ont fait vivre les plus beaux jours de ma vie! Non seulement j'ai vu tous les animaux que je rêvais de voir mais encore plus...Je dois dire que la particularité de cette compagnie est qu'ils travaillent avec cœur et veillent à ce que la personne garde un souvenir impérissable. De plus, Justin est un magnifique photographe et il peut vous laisser profiter pendant qu'il fait des photos de vous et les animaux à un prix dérisoire. An amazing safari to Lake Manyara National Parkr, organized by the Woven Experience. Justin, head of the organization, showed us a great safari. mazing Safari with The Woven Experience – A Trip of a Lifetime!
I had the most incredible safari with Justin and Martin from The Woven Experience at Tarangire National Park. We saw an astounding number of animals, including 10 lions—5 of them gathered at the same spot near a giraffe carcass, which was a rare sight! We also saw about 70 elephants, hundreds of zebras, some giraffes, and a variety of birds and monkeys. Other highlights included spotting wildebeests, gazelles, and so many other species. The whole experience was perfectly organized, and we even enjoyed a lovely picnic in the park. It was truly a day to remember, and everything was fantastic from start to finish. Justin avait organisé pour nous une super excursion en kayak sur le lac Duluti ! C'était magnifique, d'un calme extraordinaire. Nous avons pu voir des singes et des cormorans. Wonderful introduction to Tanzania!
We had an amazing visit to Tanzania with The Woven Experience! Justin and his team took care of all the details for our two-week visit, and before arriving helped us plan our very customized trip from start to finish. We were coming from the US without any experience in Africa, but with an approximate itinerary in mind including visiting the school where our son is teaching in Tanzania this year, his nearby village and market, and many cultural and natural sites. The Woven Experience provided great advice about all the options and the best experiences, worked with us to create a detailed schedule, and made the arrangements for our stay and visits to coffee plantations, local tribes (Maasai, Hadzabe, and Datoga), and the national parks (Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire). It was wonderful having Justin as our guide, sharing his insights and knowledge about Tanzania and its cultural history, and his excitement and detailed knowledge for all the parks and wildlife. It was a fantastic two weeks and we never had to worry about logistics; we always felt safe and well taken care of. The Woven Experience also provided our excellent meals and were very considerate in meeting our dietary restrictions, as well as treating us to some Tanzanian specialties (red bananas, lemongrass tea, Nile perch). All the accommodations were exactly what we wanted, very comfortable, and at the right budget level; the government-run “bandas” rooms in the central Serengeti were a fantastic bargain. We also visited the Woven Experience affiliate business Afrikan Wear in Arusha to see the textile weaving shop, and stopped by the Arusha central market where Justin was an excellent host in guiding us to trusted merchants. Our entire stay at the Woven House in Arusha and with The Woven Experience safari was filled with trust and warmth, as our new friends introduced us to the country that they love and want to share. Amazing experience
I had the best time at the Woven House experience! Justin and everyone else are super friendly and always eager to create the best experience for you! I learned so many new things about tanzanian culture und always felt incredibly welcomed. I travelled alone so finding a safari for a good prize turned out to be very difficult to find. But Justin and Martin came through and created an amazing one-day-safari for me. They went out of their way to show me as many animals as possible and even tho it was in March i was able to see the big 5 + more!! Where Local Impact Meets Unrushed Exploration
I had an absolutely incredible experience with Woven Experience! This local company goes above and beyond to support people in need in the region, which makes the whole journey even more meaningful. Justin and Martin, the managers, are incredibly competent, kind, flexible, and always willing to help with a smile. They offer a wide variety of excursions and safaris, and I was fortunate enough to experience the Chemka Hot Springs, spend a day at a coffee plantation, hike on Kilimanjaro, and enjoy a week-long safari through the most stunning parks in the area. Unlike other organizations, Woven Experience allows you the time to truly appreciate each moment without rushing. I saw so many animals, with the highlight being two enormous rhinos! I highly recommend this small company; they deliver a far superior experience compared to many of the big names in the market.
